Swiss Path

To celebrate the 700th anniversary of the Swiss Confederation in 1991, the cantons gave the Swiss a homeland hiking trail: the Swiss Path. It runs as a 35-kilometre-long panorama trail around the southernmost arm of Lake Lucerne, the Lake of Uri. It invites you to hike through history, opens up intact nature and encourages you to talk to yourself.

General information

The Swiss Path circumnavigates the southern part of Lake Lucerne. It’s immensely interesting whether you walk all of it or take public transport for some of it.
